Summary of Specifications:
Kimball/Cranbrook Ct. Force Main Replacement Project: *Install approximately 4,937 LF of 4” and 6” direct bury PVC force mains and connection to existing force mains. *Install approximately 297 LF of 6” Fusible PVC directional drill. *Install 2 air release valve assemblies on the new force main. *Replace 30 LF of existing 6” water main and 30 LF of existing 8” gravity sewer impacted during the storm culvert replacement at Treehaven Drive. *Abandon and remove approximately 1,588 LF of existing buried 4” asbestos cement force main. *Abandon by grout in place approximately 3,103 LF 6” asbestos cement force main. *Provide flushing and testing of the new force mains prior to connection to existing. *Remove and replace 24 concrete driveways and 28 SY of asphalt for installation of force main. *Restore, grade and sod approximately 3,520 LF of right of way after force main installation. Treehaven Drive Drainage Improvements: The project consists of two phases that will be managed by two county divisions. The Transportation Services Department will oversee the drainage activities and the Utilities Department will oversee the sewer line replacement. The drainage scope calls for the removal of existing CMP, the removal of approximately 9000 cubic yards of material, grading and sloping a dry canal system, drainage improvement at the Treehaven Drive road crossing and the sodding of the disturbed areas. *Project will be completed in two (2) phases. Phase 1 must be completed prior to beginning Phase 2 pipe work. See Exhibit “E” Phase 1 Map. *The Vendor/Contractor shall accomplish the work in a manner providing for the safety of their equipment and workers and for the safety of the general public.
