Summary of Specifications:
Hernando County is seeking to secure private sector participation interested in partnering with Hernando County to develop an integrated Sports and Entertainment Village at Hernando’s existing Anderson Snow Park. The vision is to create a mixed use development that will provide a premier competition sports complex, hotel and conference center, restaurants and retail/personal service uses. Currently, the Anderson Snow Sports Complex has approximately 43.0 acres of vacant land between the existing fields to the west and the Suncoast Parkway to the east. As an endeavor to unlock the value of this property, Hernando County intends to assign commercial rights to develop the vacant 43.0 acres into an integrated SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT VILLAGE through design, finance, build and transfer of private sector investments and participation. The SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT VILLAGE will provide community assets for residents and create a local, regional and statewide destination for sports enthusiasts. The SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT VILLAGE will allow for governmental and corporate partnerships, provide an economic stimuli as well as offer a renewed energy to Hernando’s (Nature Coast) Sports program.
