NOTICE OF BIDDING OPPORTUNITY: RFP 2023-023 REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services, Inc. located at 326 NW 3rd Ave, Homestead, FL 33030 is seeking qualified licensed contractors to bid on a capital project to remove, replace, level and ensure all perimeter walkways (currently concrete) including exits are per building and ADA code at the Miami Bridge Homestead Shelter.
Federal Requirements: This project is financed with the City of Homestead Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds (24 CFR Part 570) from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Title 2 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 200. All contracts pertaining to this project will be subject to certain requirements including but not limited to: HUD Federal Labor Standards Provisions (HUD 4010) - Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wages; Section 3 Economic Opportunities Requirements (24 CFR Part 135); Special Federal Provisions; Additional Federal Requirements; and Executive Order #11246. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as amended; the Davis-Bacon Act of 1968, as amended; the Copeland Anti-Kickback Act; the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act and all other applicable federal, state and local ordinance. The bidder is required to pay workers on this project the minimum wages as determined in the Wage Determination Decision included in the Bidder's package; and that the contractor must ensure that employees are not discriminated because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin.

A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING/WALKTHROUGH WILL BE HELD AT THE MIAMI BRIDGE HOMESTEAD CAMPUS ON THURSDAY OCTOBER 12, 2023 BEGINNING AT 12:00 PM.
All Sealed Bid Packages are due THURSDAY OCTOBER 26, 2023 NO LATER THAN 4:00 PM delivered to David Sharfman, COO at Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services, Inc, 2810 NW South River Drive, Miami, FL 33125. Any bids received at any other location after the specified time and date will not be considered.
The final work shall be constructed according to Florida Building Code. In addition, prospective bidders must comply with all applicable Federal, State and Local ordinances and Codes, bonding and insurance requirements and/or with the other authorities having jurisdiction. The Miami Bridge Campus is a youth emergency temporary shelter and not open to the public. Visitation is by appointment only.
