Summary of Specifications:
The purpose and intent of this Request for Bid (RFB) is to establish a firm fixed price contract with a qualified Flooring Contractor for the installation of a new athletic wood flooring system at Choctawhatchee High School in Fort Walton Beach, Florida to include: the removal and re-attachment of the bleachers; the tear-out and disposal of the existing wood flooring system; the patching/ repair of the existing concrete substrate as necessary; painting of game lines, lettering and mascot/logo per drawing; furnish and install six(6) each volleyball cover plates; and furnish and install ADA compliant transitions at all exit doorways. Contractor shall provide all labor, material, tools, equipment, and supervision required to complete this project. The contractor shall adhere to all requirements and specifications as stated in the plans, specifications, and drawings for this project and in accordance with the Florida Building Code. Project work shall occur between June 5th, 2009 and July 31st, 2009. The contractor shall coordinate with the School Board Maintenance personnel to allow for them to install a plumbing line under a portion of one end of the floor. The contractor shall also allow time for a painter to paint the walls where the bleachers normally are positioned.
