Summary of Specifications:
The purpose and intent of this Request for Quotation (RFQ) is to establish a firm fixed price contract with a qualified Contractor for the installation of a new Pegasus Fuel Management System at the five (5) existing District owned Fueling Sites throughout Okaloosa County. The fueling sites are located in Ft Walton Beach, FL., Niceville, FL., Crestview, FL, Baker, FL., and Laurel Hill, FL. All five sites are currently fully operational using the Tech 21/EBW Tank Monitoring System with Mechanical Fuel Dispensers, tanks, probes, and all related equipment already in place. The Pegasus System will replace the current system at all five (5) sites. The contractor shall be responsible for the removal of the existing equipment to include all Tech 21equipment that is not needed for the new installation. The District will consider any trade-in offers for the existing Tech 21 equipment. Include any trade-in credits on the Quote Price Sheet in Section IV of this RFQ. If no trade-in offer is accepted by the District, all existing equipment shall be held for pick up by the District Surplus Department. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, tools, equipment, and supervision required to install the Pegasus Fuel Management System hardware included in the “Pegasus Equipment List” in Section IV Equipment List/Specifications below to include connection of the existing dispensers and tank monitoring equipment to the new Pegasus System. The Pegasus system shall be integrated with the District network through a wireless line of site connection. The contractor shall be responsible for getting the wireless connection from the fuel site to the District owned network equipment at each site. The District IT staff will coordinate the final connection to the district owned network device with the contractor. The locations of the District network equipment will be identified at the site visits. All of the new equipment included on the list will be purchased directly from the manufacturer by the Okaloosa County School District. The software related items are to be coordinated with eFueling Technologies (Manufacturer of Pegasus & Fuel Soft) to provide a “Turn Key” operational Fuel Management System at job completion. All equipment shall be installed by a qualified and licensed contractor per the requirements of the State of Florida and Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Contractor shall also be an authorized installer for the Pegasus equipment. The contractor shall adhere to all requirements and specifications as stated in the plans, specifications, and drawings for this project and in accordance with the Florida Building Code.
