RFP-ENG 13-11 - CEI Services for White Point Rd (SR 293) Sidewalk Improvements

Summary of Specifications:
DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK – The construction contract for this project includes all labor, permits, and materials required for performing all Work necessary to complete the construction of the White Point Road Sidewalk Improvements. Project limits are from SR 20 south along White Point Road to Olde Post Road. Sidewalk, and necessary appurtenances are to be constructed along the western side of the roadway only. White Point Road is owned and maintained by the FDOT and all work will be in accordance with FDOT work zone procedures. 

Sidewalk and Type F curb & gutter are proposed to be constructed adjacent to the existing edge of pavement. At locations where the sidewalk crosses existing side roads and driveways appropriate grade transition facilities are to be installed. The total length of sidewalk/curbing to be installed is approximately 7,750 LF. Due to existing conditions, there are proposed locations for hand rails and drainage facilities. Striping and grassing will be performed to properly indicate pedestrian areas and stabilize disturbed areas. 

The project is located along an existing, operating facility. Included with the complete construction drawings is a traffic control plan that shall be followed. The safety of the construction site workers as well as the traveling public is paramount to the success of the project.
