Summary of Specifications:
Contractor is solely responsible for verifying all quantities and locations of material for this project.
Contractor is responsible for all state, county, local permits necessary for the demolition and removal of asbestos containing material (ACM).
1. Removal of all friable asbestos containing material (ACM) a. Thermal System Insulation (TSI) - approx. 1130 linear feet, 32 elbows and joints 2. Removal of all non-friable ACM a. Ceiling tile (w/TSI debris above) - approx. 2560 sq. ft. b. Vinyl Floor tile and mastic adhesive (1 layer) - approx. 11,700 sq. ft. c. Vinyl floor tile and mastic adhesive (2 layers) - approx. 1.260 sq. ft. d. Carpet - approx. 7,440 sq. ft. e. Sinks - approx. 8 sinks 3. Miscellaneous Materials a. Ceiling Plaster - approx. 1360 sq. ft. b. Light fixtures - as needed c. Doors - d. Wiring - e. Plumbing - pipe, fixtures 4. Walls a. All interior and exterior walls - concrete, metal, wood, brick, etc. 5. Roofing a. All roofing, trusses, and material attached to roofing. There are 7 layers of roofing, layer 4 and 5 contain Chrysotile (ACM) concrete slab 6. Concrete Slab a. All concrete slab and footing
Walls that intersect the main structure shall be saw cut flush with main structure. Contractor shall provide a temporary secure covering for the opening. County staff will construct permanent covering.
Roof that intersects the main structure shall be removed flush with existing main structure. Roof material at intersection shall be cut back leaving enough to allow for it to lap down over removed portion of roof structure.
Slab that intersects the main structure shall be saw cut flush with main structure. Contractor is to level site upon completion. Verifying all ACM material has been removed.
All material must be removed and disposed of by an Asbestos Abatement Contractor licensed by the State of Florida in handling of ACM. Disposal must be at an approved ACM dump site.
Contractor is responsible for securing the site making sure no person or persons, not properly authorized are allowed to come in contact with any ACM.
All required pre and post project testing is the responsibility of the Contractor. These include but are not limited to the tests required by regulations, codes, and standards for the protection and safety of their employees and others.
