RFB-01-12 - Design Build to Remodel Existing Shalimar Courthouse Annex

Summary of Specifications:
INTRODUCTION/SCOPE OF WORK – The Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from interested firms detailing their technical and financial qualification to design and construction all work required to remodel the Okaloosa County Shalimar Courthouse Annex Complex located at 1250 N. Eglin Pkwy, Shalimar FL. 

This selected firm will be required to submit two separate proposals addressing use of the facilities. Although the goal of the County is to move the majority of Courtroom functions to another new facility scheduled to open late September of 2011, the County plans to keep at least some functioning Court Room functions, in the complex. The successful firm will be required to address remodeling a Court Room(s) to be identified as part of remodeling the entire complex in one proposal and in a separate proposal address remodeling the complex without a judicial presence. 

A copy of the existing structure layout is included with the RFP package. Note: A section of the complex, Building “G” will be occupied by office personnel to include a small Court Room and associated Judicial offices who will be working while the remodeling takes place (interim space plan). Building “E” will be occupied by the Clerk of Courts Records Section and will not be included in the remodeling. Access for those personnel and power requirements must be maintained during the project.
