RFP-31-11 - Design & CEI Serv for Sylvania Heights Resurfacing

Summary of Specifications:
Okaloosa County requests a proposal for the Design & Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services of the Sylvania Heights Resurfacing Project. Design Standards and Specifications shall be in accordance with the latest edition of the Okaloosa County Land Development Code (LDC) and the FDOT Manual of Uniform Minimum Standards for Design, Construction and Maintenance for Streets & Highways (also known as the “Florida Greenbook”). Construction specifications shall adhere to the FDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction 2010 edition and as modified by the Okaloosa County Contract Documents. A copy of these specifications are available for review upon request. 

DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK - The scope for this project shall include required survey, design of construction plans, quantities and engineer’s estimate, permitting (as required), and CEI services including all material testing required to complete the construction of the Sylvania Heights Resurfacing Project. 

The project consists of overlaying approximately 2.15 miles of residential streets in the Sylvania Heights area of unincorporated Okaloosa County, Florida. Minor drainage improvements via roadside swales shall also be incorporated into the design. A map showing proposed limits of resurfacing is available upon request.
