Summary of Specifications:
INTRODUCTION/PURPOSE & SCOPE OF RFP – The Okaloosa County Tourist Development Council/Emerald Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inc (TDC/CVB) is seeking assistance from qualified independent contractor(s) to assume the duties of its Emerald Coast Commission Services. The TDC required proposers to submit a Strategic Plan. The TDC intends to issue a two-year contract with the option for two (2) additional one (1) year terms, if agreed to by both parties.
The selected contractor shall provide the services necessary to assist the TDC with providing assistance to the family entertainment industry for the filming of motion pictures, television shows or series, commercials, video or photography shoots, and related activities on the Emerald Coast (Okaloosa County). The specific work being solicited under this RFP is listed below:
1. Contractor shall provide the management and support associated with the negotiation, coordination, and facilitation of film production permits.
2. Contractor will market the Emerald Coast’s diverse film locations to the entertainment industry for use as filming productions. Contractor will use its best efforts to promote and market the Emerald Coast as a destination for Production Events.
3. Contractor shall respond to Film Florida and direct contact location and production leads.
4. Contractor shall manage the content for the TDC’s film web site tab.
5. Contractor shall manage the TDC’s film e-mail address.
6. Contractor shall respond to requests for acting and modeling talent.
7. Contractor shall report directly to the TDC’s Executive Director and provide monthly reports.
ABOUT THE FILM COMMISSION – The Emerald Coast Film Commission’s mission is to market the Emerald Coast as a location destination to the family film and photography entertainment industry.
