Summary of Specifications:
All ductile iron pipe shall be designed in accordance with ANSI Specification A21.51 (AWWA C151). The pressure rating, metal thickness class, net weight of pipe, length of pipe and name of manufacturer shall be clearly marked on each length of pipe. All ductile iron pipe shall be cement mortar lined.

All buried pipe shall be mechanical joint or approved push-joint type. All joints and fittings shall meet the specifications of ANSI 21.10 and ANSI 21.11 (AWWA C110 and AWWA C111). Mechanical joints shall have nuts and bolts of alloy steel (Corten type such as U. S. Alloy or approved equal). Gaskets shall be made of plain rubber with 70-75 durameter.
