Summary of Specifications:
The purpose of this formal Request for Quote is to solicit written quotes from qualified domestic firms to supply API-5L steel natural gas pipe and associated components for delivery to Highway 98 at Hurlburt Field Entrance, Hurlburt Field, Florida. All items and workmanship shall meet or exceed all industry and safety standards described. Only qualified vendors with past performance in the manufacture of coated steel natural gas pipe need quote. For coated steel pipe used in District pipelines, the District restricts the purchase of supplies that are not domestic end products. For manufactured steel line pipe, the District uses a two-part test to define a domestic end product: (1) The article must be manufactured in the United States; and (2) The cost of domestic components must exceed 50 percent of the cost of all the components. Formal quotes with all required forms will be received by Okaloosa Gas District at the office of the Okaloosa Gas District Purchasing Agent until Friday, 15 February 2013; prior to 2:00 p.m. (CST). All quotes shall be in accordance to the items specified in this solicitation. No substitutions are allowed. Formal quotes received after the stated time will not be considered. Modifications to the requirements identified in this solicitation will not be recognized or accepted. The desired delivery date for these materials is Friday, 29 March 2013. The project cannot support delivery beyond Friday, 5 April 2013. If your quote is accepted by purchase order, extensions beyond the quoted delivery date must be approved in writing by Okaloosa Gas District.
