Summary of Specifications:
The Panhandle Area Educational Consortium (hereinafter, PAEC) is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit proposals from companies and firms interested in providing marching band instruments and related equipment on behalf of this Consortium for its own facilities and/or its participating school districts, individual public schools, private, charter schools, schools, trade and technical schools, colleges and universities, local and state government entities and non-profit organizations. Written responses to this RFP must be delivered to PAEC no later than 4:30 p.m. CST on October 13, 2016. No late submissions will be accepted. The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to identify and endorse a Provider/s to serve as the marching band instruments and related equipment in order to assist PAEC, its members and participating members with purchasing at a discounted rate, musical instruments for its marching band and other music programs. The successful bidder will enter into a direct contractual relationship with the participating school districts and others meeting the requirements to participate in this award. This RFP is not an agreement or contract, and represents a list of requirements only. Submitted proposals shall become property of PAEC, and as such, PAEC reserves the right to reject any or all proposals for any reason. Components of Marching Band Instruments and Related Equipment solicitation would include, but not be limited to: • Providing a catalog discount for a complete array of musical instruments for marching bands and other music programs. • Warranty and repair pricing • Compatibility with the Florida Buy Marketplace for online purchasing • Provide shipping and delivery services in a timely manner. • Provide service and repairs as necessary It is desired that these services shall be performed on an objective basis, and without conflict of interest. This objectivity is desired to ensure that no undue influences or bias will hinder the provision of marching band instruments and related equipment that are in the best interests of PAEC and its participating program. Therefore, the Awardee/s (contractor/s), majority ownership, subsidiaries or affiliates shall either (1) not own or have a direct financial interest in any materials, supplies, transportation, delivery or sales assets of PAEC and its participating facilities or (2) shall provide a verifiable program whereby such desired objectivity and lack of bias will be otherwise achieved.
