Effective January 1, 2021, all Contractors and Consultants entering into a contract with a governmental entity in Florida is required to be registered with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify system and to utilize it to verify the work authorization of all newly hired employees throughout the term of any such contract and to obtain affidavits from its subcontractors as required under Section 448.095(2), Fla. Stat.
