Santa Rosa County School District is seeking quotes for the refinishing of a gymnasium floor. The existing flooring is wood and requires refinishing, including sanding, buffing, staining, sealing, application of court markings and school graphics, and the application of a finish coat.
Interested contractors should provide a detailed quote, to include a comprehensive description of the steps involved in completing the project, such as surface preparation, application methods, and drying times. A detailed cost estimate should be provided, including itemized costs for labor, materials, and any additional fees.
Required Minimum Specifications for Area Coverage: (Approximately 110' in Length by 60' in Width)
- Sand existing gym floor to bare wood, including rough cut and fine sanding
- Buff and prep for staining
- Stain and cure 3-point areas (Dark Blue OR Grey)
- Paint court borders:
- 3' wide sideline border (Dark Blue & Grey)
- Borders behind goals extending to the edge of the gym floor
- Apply two (2) coats of clear urethane gym floor seal
- Court line striping and artwork:
- One (1) main basketball court with 2" lines
- One (1) main volleyball court with 2" lines
- "DOLPHINS" lettering (30" tall) in the Grey sideline border
- "GB" logo (18' tall) in center court (Dark Blue & Grey)
- Two (2) "BRIDGE" logos centered in the free-throw circle area (Dark Blue)
- Game line striping to coordinate with existing equipment & volleyball sleeves
- Artistic license granted to vendor for additional design suggestions
- Apply two (2) coats of oil-modified urethane gym floor finish
