The Cherokee Office of Economic Development ("CoED"), on behalf of the Development Authority of Cherokee County ("DACC"), and pursuant to the provisions of O.C.G.A. § 36-91, et. seq., seeks competitive sealed bids from State of Georgia Licensed Utility contractors for the extension of a public sewer line for future development on the Northwest Side of Priest Road in Cherokee County, Georgia, in Land Lots 1127 & 128, 21st District, 2nd Section. The work includes the installation of an approximately 100 LF of 8” PVC SDR35 in 16” steel casing pipe under Priest Road and 8 LF of 8” PVC – SDR 26 to connect to the existing line. A Jack and Bore process will be used per Plan for the section that is under Priest Road.
CoED has set aside 60 calendar days for construction.
All required permits have been obtained, and Right of Way and required easements have been obtained.
The project is more specifically described in the Request for Bid ('RFB") documents, and in the plans and specifications posted to the County’s e-Procurement platform, along with the solicitation.

There will be no pre-bid conference. By submitting an offer, the offeror certifies that they have inspected the site of the work and are fully aware of the conditions that may affect the execution and performance of the contract. Failure to conduct a site visit will not be considered grounds for any claim or request for change order or contract amendment after the contract award.
A 5% Bid/proposal bond is required with the Bid, and 100% performance and payment bonds will be required on the resulting contract.
Bids shall be received by electronic submission through the County’s proposal and bid management provider Bidnet, see County web site’s Procurement page to register at no cost. There will not be a determination of award until after Bids have been evaluated and responsiveness has been validated. CoED and Cherokee County reserve the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive technicalities and to make an award as deemed to be in the best interest of CoED. Information for the live virtual bid opening is separately posted and will be held at the scheduled Bids/Proposals due date and time. An in-person bid opening will take place at the scheduled Bids/Proposals due date and time at 1130 Bluffs Parkway in “The Bluffs” Conference Room.
The CoED further reserves the right to reject the Bid of any vendor who has previously failed to perform properly or complete on time contracts of a similar nature, or who upon investigation the CoED, in its sole discretion, determines is not in a position and/or not responsible to perform the contract.
