2024-009 - Sewer Extension for Bagwell Day Tract

The Cherokee Office of Economic Development ("CoED"), on behalf of the Development Authority of Cherokee County ("DACC"), and pursuant to the provisions of O.C.G.A. § 36-91, et. seq., seeks competitive sealed proposal from State of Georgia Licensed Utility contractors for the construction of a new public sewer line. This infrastructure development is intended to facilitate future growth on the north side of I-575. The work includes the installation of a 1,385 LF 12”sanitary sewer line, critical for supporting anticipated commercial and industrial expansion in the area and is situated in proximity to Interstate 575 (I-575), within Land Lots 294 & 295, 14th District, 2nd Section, Cherokee County, Georgia. The line will consist of approximately 890 LF of PVC – SDR 26, and 495 LF of 12" DIP in 24" steel casing pipe. The DIP and Casing will use a Jack and Bore process per Plan for the section that is under I-575.
CoED has set aside 60 calendar days for construction.
All required permits have been obtained, and Right of Way and required easements have been obtained.
There will be a mandatory pre-proposal/bid conference to review the requirement. The meeting will be held at the Cherokee County Office of Economic Development, 1 Innovation Way Woodstock GA 30188 on 4/8/2024 at 10:00AM.
The project is more specifically described in the Request for Proposal ('RFP") documents, and in the plans and specifications posted to the County’s e-Procurement platform, along with the solicitation.
