RFP 2023-012 - Improvements at West Pines Golf Club

The City of Douglasville is undertaking a renovation to the course and grounds at West Pines Golf Club.  This project will consist of a complete driving range renovation, rebuilding Hole #5 after the completion of a sewer line expansion, improvements to the teeing complexes on the golf course, and a new putting green installed near the clubhouse. 

The driving range portion will redesign and regrade the driving range, expand the range tee, and create new targets in the fairway portion of the driving range.

Hole 5 will be completely rebuilt following the completion of the current sewer line expansion project.  This project is currently underway and should be complete by the end of March 2023.  The new hole will feature a newly designed green and a new greenside bunker.

Throughout the course, a new set of forward tees will be added to every hole to make for a more enjoyable experience for player categories that struggle to advance the ball down the fairway with enough length to play our current set of forward tees.

The new putting green complex will be added between the clubhouse and the 1st tee box.  This will be great new amenity to the facility that will be popular with our current clientele as well as bring new customers to the course for the first time.

West Pines Golf Club and the City of Douglasville reserve the right to eliminate the forward tees and/or the putting green complex if the overall budget comes in too high.  The driving range portion and hole 5 renovation will be done regardless of budget outcomes.  The bid packet is broken up to make this process seamless.
