Applied Research Services (ARS) will support the efforts of Fulton County’s Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Project (JMHCP) through provision of data and evaluation services and expertise. ARS will work closely with Fulton County Courts, IT services, partnering agencies (Grady Health System) and representative stakeholder groups to secure the data necessary to identify target populations, the areas of likely service need for said populations, services provided and associated costs, and potential means of addressing the needs of these populations. ARS will then track a variety of processes that document the degree to which the target populations are provided services aligned with their needs. ARS will develop a simulation model that assesses the degree to which provision of services to target population will likely result in reduced service utilization. ARS will track the key outcomes as specified in grant proposal which includes reduced ER visits, hospitalizations, and jail bed days.
