The City of Boise is seeking a qualified partner to perform analysis and provide recommendations for several options pertaining to a City owned municipal conduit and fiber system. Options could include a City owned network to reduce its reliance on fiber optic leases, installation of extra conduit and/or fiber along the routes of the City owned network to ensure competitive pricing and access to internet within the City, and an option for City owned fiber to the home either fully paid for by the City, or in partnership with new or existing telecom providers.
