Description

The City of Peoria is requesting Proposals from lawn care professionals to mow and maintain the City- and County Trustee-owned vacant lots in the City of Peoria.

The City of Peoria is committed to maintaining the vacant lots to the City of Peoria requirements. The City understands that it is essential that the vacant lots are mowed and trimmed to maintain the beauty of the neighborhood. The City of Peoria is responsible for lawn mowing and maintaining over 1,000 locations.

City staff is looking for Contractors to provide these services. Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, and equipment to mow, trim, and remove litter from publicly owned lots within a designated route as assigned by the City of Peoria.

Additional Bidding Instructions

RFP SUBMISSION INFORMATION - There are two (2) options for RFP submittal.

Mailed Option - Sealed bids – one (1) original and three (3) copies – will be accepted by the City of Peoria at the Peoria Public Works Facility located at 3505 N Dries Lane, Peoria, Illinois, 61604, until 2:00 p.m. on March 7, 2023. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope or package with the bid title and bid number marked on the outside (RFP #15-23 Mowing – Vacant Lots). Please include your company name and return address on the outside of the envelope.

Electronic Option - Bids can also be submitted electronically through BidNet. Only one

(1) copy is needed. Please see Attachment E in the documents for additional information and instructions.

Bids received after the stated date and time will not be considered. Faxed bids will not be accepted. Bids will be opened and publicly recorded immediately following the closing time set for the receipt of bids.
