The City of Peoria is seeking proposals to rehabilitate a publicly owned house by qualified individuals, neighborhood associations, nonprofits, or development firms.
The City of Peoria Land Bank owns a single-family house located at 1115 W MacQueen Ave. The 2-bedroom, 1 bath, 1 story Bungalow is approximately 792 sq ft with a detached garage, and zoned R-4. The property was obtained in an abandoned state and has sat vacant for multiple years. Significant repair work will be necessary to make the home habitable. Fire damage in the attic is present, wherein repair and replacement of the affected roof section, joists, and chimney, including chimney liner will be required. There are presently no active utilities at the house. The property will be sold AS IS and contains a volume of personal belongings and debris. The work to be performed at the property identified below includes furnishing all labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and services required and necessary to perform and complete the construction work described herein. The Proposal should include a list of contractors to be used at the site. Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical contractors must be properly licensed by the City of Peoria or the State of Illinois. Work by unlicensed contractors is prohibited.
