Project name: Illinois Central College – Workforce Training Facilities Improvements. Illinois Central College, hereinafter called Owner, will receive Bids for "All Work" in the Purchasing Department located on the First Floor of the Library Administration Building room L120A, Illinois Central College, East Peoria, Illinois, until 10:00 a.m. local time Friday, February 10th 2023. Bids will be publicly opened, read aloud, and recorded in room CC102 First Floor Library Administration Building. Bids will be held good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 45 calendar days from due date.
Bidding Documents will be available electronically on and after 12:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19th, 2023 from www.icc.edu/purchasing.
Specifically to be furnished to bidders shall include: EDA approved plans, specifications, applicable addenda to plans and specifications, equal employment opportunity requirements and current Davis-Bacon wage rate requirements.
A “Mandatory Pre-bid Meeting” will be held on Monday January 30th at 10:00 a.m. The meeting will start at the Illinois Central College, East Peoria Campus, room CC102. The we will travel to both construction sites East Peoria & Pekin. A single representative of all Prime bidding firms are required to attend. Attendees must register with the engineer at least 24 hours before the meeting (see contact info below). The attendee must have direct and substantial involvement in the bidding or planned execution of the project. Work Scope consists of the following:
East Peoria Campus: re-surfacing of the existing truck driving training course, furnish and installation of new light poles, retrofitting the existing light poles, and construction of a storage shed and covered outdoor huddle space.
Pekin Campus: construction of a new vehicle storage building for the EMS training program with an exterior covered walkway linking the storage to the main building and a driveway that connects the storage to Hannah Drive.
Bids will be received for completion of entire project under a single Contract, which will include work of both campuses under one contract. Substantial completion date is to be no later than September 29, 2023.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a bid bond or certified check made payable to the Owner, in the amount of 5% of the bid sum.
Commencement of the work on the project shall be subject to the discretion of the Board of Trustees, ILLINOIS CENTRAL COLLEGE, EAST PEORIA, ILLINOIS. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept any or reject all bids when in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve the best interest of the Owner.

Addenda will be distributed to Greater Peoria Contractor’s Association and to the plan holders on file by The HOH Group. It is the bidder’s responsibility to ensure receipt of all project addenda prior to bidding.
