2023-P-06 - Pekin Campus Employee Parking Lot Paving Project - Asphalt Mill & Overlay

Tazewell County is soliciting proposals from contractors interested in providing asphalt mill and overlay of the County parking lot located at Elizabeth and Fifth Streets in Pekin, Illinois.

SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of work shall consist of the milling of 2-inches of asphalt and overlay of 2.5-inches of hot mix asphalt (HMA) in Lot A, Lot B, and Alleyway as noted on the Site Plan. Lot C shall consist of 8” subbase aggregate, 1.5” level binder, and 1.5” surface polymer as noted on the Site Plan.
LOT A & B – All bollards shall be removed and filled with CLSM. Remove and haul all parking blocks. Remove existing concrete and any metal, level and pave. Cut, level, compact, and patch sunk or failed asphalt areas. Provide all equipment, labor, and materials necessary to mill 2” and overlay 2.5” HMA. Layout and stripping shall be required.
LOT C – Complete all earthwork necessary to prepare the site for 8” subbase, 1.5” binder course, and 1.5” poly surface. Construct 92’x 4’ curbed area with drainable fill, at west end of the lot, in order to fulfill the City of Pekin’s requirements for green area.  Layout and stripping shall be required.
ALLEYWAY – Provide all equipment, labor, and materials necessary to mill 2” and overlay 2.5” HMA.  
Tazewell County reserves the right to increase, decrease and/or otherwise modify the list of areas to be completed as identified in Site Plan.
