RFP 21-059 - Arch/Eng Services for Boley Farm, Humphrey House, and Stellwagen Family Farm

The Village of Orland Park is requesting proposals from interested parties for architectural and engineering services to complete construction drawings and specifications for phased implementation of demolition and rehabilitation at two historic sites in the Village: Glenn B. Boley Farm and John Humphrey House. The two projects are not linked or interdependent, however the Village seeks to contract with the same qualified consultant to complete both projects. Schedules for the two autonomous projects- to be determined- may be concurrent. The selected consultant shall demonstrate an ability to complete the requirements of both projects simultaneously if dictated by the determined scheduling.

In addition to the scopes of work provided for Glenn B. Boley Farm and John Humphrey House, the Village requests a fee proposal to complete architectural and engineering services to complete construction drawings and specifications for stabilization of the farmhouse at Stellwagen Family Farm. A response to the Stellwagen Farmhouse scope of work is optional, however it is the preference of the Village to contract with one A/E team to complete documentation for all three historic preservation projects.

Stellwagen Family Farm
The Stellwagen Family Farm, located 17701 South 108th Avenue, is a locally designated landmark. Village Staff aspires to list the property on the National Register of Historic Places. All rehabilitation work should comply with the Department of the Interior guidelines to aid in this endeavor. The farmstead dates to 1860; the 60-acre property was acquired by the Village of Orland Park in 2002. The farmstead includes 11 structures, many of which have undergone rehabilitation.
