The Village of Orland Park is requesting bid/proposals from qualified general contractors for Phase 1 restoration of the Jacob Hostert Cabin; phase 2, Jacob Hostert Cabin Roof Replacement will be issued separately. The Jacob Hostert replica cabin, built in the 1980’s, is reflective of settlers’ homes in the 1840’s – 1850’s. The project consists of removing existing caulking, cleaning, and striping the cabin logs, repairing damaged logs and/or replacing logs that cannot be repaired, applying borates, staining the cabin, and re-caulking the cabin.
