23-001 - Orland Park VHF Radio System and Microwave Network Replacement Project

a qualified and experienced vendor to plan, design, build, implement, test, and commission into service an upgraded public safety-grade radio system and microwave network (hereafter referred to as the Orland Park Area Radio System -- OPARS) to support the Orland Park Police Department (OPPD). The radio system will be integrated into OJETS’ dispatch facilities per the specifications detailed in this RFP. In addition, per the requirements herein, the vendor is required to upgrade or replace certain support subsystems such as the backup power battery systems and antenna transmission systems. OJETS is seeking proposals for either a stand-alone OJETS-owned and operated radio system, or access to a shared radio system operated and maintained by a separate entity that can provide mission-critical communications services that meet the needs of OJETS as described in this RFP.
