The project consists of all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to complete the work
to construct a Stormwater Wetland adjacent Fourmile Creek, including all earthwork,
grading, infrastructure, planting/seeding and site restoration. Excavated soil from the
wetland will either be hauled directly to backfill the roadway removals within Phase I
or/and be hauled and stockpiled off site and use to backfill for future roadway removals in
Phase II and Phase III. Work further includes the removal of vacated roadways, including
the removal of all necessary utilities/infrastructure, storm sewers and drains, abandonment
or adjustments of sewers, intakes and manholes. The Work includes partial roadway
removals that will be converted into walking trails. Work includes removal of street curb
and gutters, construction of new curb and gutters, HMA patches, crack/seal pavement and
new PCC pavements. Project is located in Des Moines, Iowa along Fourmile Creek. Phase
I has a substantial completion date of August 31, 2022. All Work in compliance with the
all laws and permits.
