Description

The Montgomery County Maryland Department of Correction and Rehabilitation (DOCR) operates the Montgomery County Correctional Facility (MCCF) located at 22880 Whelan Lane, Boyds, Maryland 20841 and the Montgomery County Detention Center (MCDC) located at 1307 Seven Locks Road, Rockville, Maryland 20854. The DOCR requires cable television system to provide cable television services at MCCF and MCDC. The current cable system provider is Correctional Cable dba Friendship Cable of Texas, Inc.

The infrastructure at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility and the Montgomery County Detention Center has a rooftop satellite dish, coaxial cabling, and a central equipment room with racks for receivers and associated cable TV system devices.

The Department of Correction and Rehabilitation intends to acquire a cable television system and cable services from an Offeror that can provide custom programming appropriate for a correctional environment. It is the County’s intent to enter into a contract with one qualified Offeror authorized to provide such services.
