This solicitation is reserved for only application submitted/certified local small businesses timely registered with the County’s LSBRP. This solicitation thus comes under County Code, sections 11B-17A; 11B-65; 11B-70 and Executive Regulation 21-05AM. These documents can be accessed through the LSBRP web site at (www.montgomerycountymd.gov/LSBRP).
LSBRP criteria are based on a firm’s location, ownership status, number of employees and annual revenue amount. Submitting a bid/proposal constitutes willfully stating your firm is an application submitted/certified Local Small Business. Therefore, if you wish to submit a bid/proposal for this solicitation adhering to the LSBRP.
Montgomery County Department of General Services, Division of Central Services, Montgomery County Publishing and Document Services Section, requires specialty printing. Work will be assigned to the Contractor based on County need and the sole discretion of Montgomery County Publishing and Document Services Contract Administrator, or designee.
The County intends to enter into a Contract with a contractor who is technically proficient with specialty printing items, but not limited to yard signs, table throws, die-cutting, parking ticket book, and feather flags.The specialty printing items will be purchased and distributed by Montgomery County Publishing and Document Services Section.
Materials purchased as a result of this solicitation may consist of items such as yard signs, laminating, die- cutting, large window clings, table throws, plaques and other similar items. The purchase of any and all items will be on an as needed basis.
The contractor must provide technical expertise for a broad range of specialty printing
activities. Assignments and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
1. Schedule - Most jobs will require 5-business day schedule. Adherence to the schedule must be maintained. The schedule will begin upon receipt of Montgomery County Publishing and Document Services print order. Contractor must not start production of any job prior to receipt of approved proof. Proofs will be held for 1 business day. (Not all jobs will require a proof)
2. At the County’s option, electronic files will be furnished via email or through other transfer preferences. Files are created in In Design, Illustrator, and other publishing software. Files will be provided in high resolution PDF files. All fonts, custom lettering
spacing/kerning are included. Files will be formatted to include text, rules, line art, illustrations, halftones, and if needed bleeds will be added to the final format layout.
