The Town of West Springfield invites bids for 2022 LATRHOP STREET WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT. Bids will be received by the Department of Public Works at the Municipal Office Building, 26 Central Street, West Springfield, MA until April 7, 2022 at 10:00 AM at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The bid shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope, endorsed with the name and businesses address of the Bidder and marked “2022 LATRHOP STREET WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT”
Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount of five (5%) percent of bid as a bid bond, cash, a certified check or certificate of deposit issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the Town of West Springfield. A Payment and a Performance Bond, in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price will be required of the Successful Bidder. All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of General Laws, (Ter. ED.) Chapter 30, Section 39M, inclusive as amended. (Public Works Construction). The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest price. The Town of West Springfield reserves the righ t to re ject any or all b ids and to waive any informality in bidding if it be in the public interest to do so.
