The Town of West Springfield is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the installation of a 2-ply SBS modified roofing system in cold applied adhesive. Roofing system includes tapered insulation package, cover board, all roofing accessories and pre-manufactured edge-metal systems as specified. Municipal Office Building Roof Replacement (IFB #24-0002). Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 §§26 to 27H inclusive.

Additional Bidding Instructions

All Bids shall be sealed and addressed to: Jaime Flores, Procurement Administrator, 26 Central Street, Suite 32, West Springfield, MA 01089. Sealed proposals will be received in the Law Department until 10:00 AM on August 14, 2023. All electronic bids can be submitted at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/massachusetts/townofwestspringfield

All work shall be completed by November 17, 2023. A $1,000/day penalty charge will be assessed if the contractor does not meet the specified final completion date.

Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond from a licensed surety company, or a Certified check, or a Treasurer’s or Cashier’s check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the base bid payable to the Town of West Springfield.

A Payment bond and a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price will be required of the Successful Bidder. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish workmen’s compensation insurance and public liability insurance.
