The City of Ferguson is accepting bids for contract mowing services to cut vegetation on residential, commercial and industrial properties that are in violation of the City's ordinance for overgrown vegetation. Overgrown vegetation is primarily grass and weeds (exceeding 7 inches but up to 24 inches), but can also include unbridled growth of wild vines, shrubs, or other vegetation. Properties should be cut and trimmed in a workmanlike manner.
The City is also accepting bids for other nuisance abatement services including removal of downed tree limbs, trash, debris, open storage, and other debris and yard waste when necessary. This may include minor trimming/removal of tree branches and other items.
Sealed bid proposals labeled “Ferguson Nuisance Abatement” will be received by the City Clerk, 110 Church Street, Ferguson, Missouri 63135, until 11:00 am, CST on Friday, April 14, 2023 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after said time will be returned unopened. All bids shall be submitted in triplicate in an envelope marked “Ferguson Nuisance Abatement”.
