Description

The Brighton Area Fire Authority is soliciting proposals for firefighter protective gear (turnout gear) including coat, pant, suspenders. Vendors are encouraged to submit multiple manufacture options for consideration by the Authority. All proposals must be in writing, complete, and submitted no later than November 4, 2021 (3pm EST).

All submissions must meet the requirements of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1971 Standard on Protective Ensembles for Structural Firefighting and Proximity Fire Fighting 2018 edition.

General Considerations
Proposals must provide NFPA compliant gear
Proposals must include options for female physic
Coat and pants are golden brown with NFPA compliant 2 tone trim. Cuffs, knee pads and similar items are to be black.
Proposals shall be submitted via email no later than November 4, 2021 at 3 pm EST. Proposals will be reviewed by staff and bidders may be requested for additional information, samples, or presentation on the proposals. Proposals shall be submitted to Fire Chief Michael O’Brian at mobrian@brightonareafire.com.

BID PRICING AND DURATION

The proposal shall provide in writing the cost of each garment as specified in this document to be honored for a period of 12 months from the date of bid award.

It is also requested of the proposal to provide pricing and honor this specification for a total of three (3) years with pricing adjustments allowed at the beginning of the second and third years of the contract as detailed in your submitted bid and the possibility to extend third year pricing for a fourth consecutive year.

Pricing options shall also include availability of discounts related to bulk purchasing. A schedule of pricing discounts shall be included related to quantity of order. All pricing shall be listed on the provided Bid Form. No deviation from pricing will be allowed after submission of bid.
