The Scope of Work covered by the Contract Documents includes removing existing
storm sewer facilities, trees, and rip rap, and constructing a new expanded water
feature in place of the existing detention basins. The project is a re-design of an
existing detention pond to meet current regulatory standards and conform to future
developments in the adjacent area of Cherry Hill Village. The pond will be excavated
and reshaped to allow for both an upper and lower portion of detention, with a stone
weir providing transition. It is expected to have 30,000 to 35,000 cubic yards of
excavated soils. Soils must be stockpiled on site to be used for future construction. The
improvements also include approximately 141-ft of 18-inch RCP storm sewer, as well
as a standpipe and an outlet control structure. Dewatering of the existing ponds will be
required. Associated landscaping is also included in the scope of work.
