Summary of Specifications:
In order to provide Clinton Township with contractors and subcontractors who will carry out the work in a timely and satisfactory manner, an approved prequalification for C.I.P.P. Lining must be on file with the Township prior to the bid opening. The qualifications for the general contractor and all subcontractors to be used on the project will be reviewed on the basis of the proposed bidder’s past performance on work of a similar nature for Clinton Township and other owners. Contact Giffels Webster to obtain submittal requirements for all prequalification categories The Contractor shall furnish all materials and provide all labor and equipment necessary and incidental to complete the Work as set forth in this invitation in accordance with the Charter Township of Clinton standards. These principal items include, but are not limited to: 1. Cured in Place Pipe lining of approximately 4,760 LF of 10” sanitary sewer and 1,580 LF of 12” sanitary sewer within Barclay Estates Subdivision. 2. Cleaning and televising of approximately 6,340 LF of sanitary sewer (10” to 12”) within Barclay Estates Subdivision. Specifications will be available on the internet through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN - www.govbids.com) or can be viewed or obtained at the office of ARC, 1009 West Maple Road, Clawson, MI 48017 after 3:00 PM on Thursday, October 9th, 2014. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided by the Owner and shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, payable to the Charter Township of Clinton for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid price. An Insurance Acord meeting the requirements in the bid documents shall be submitted by all bidders. The accepted bidder shall be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond, and labor and material bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price, and maintenance and guarantee bond of 100% for two years of the final contract price. The cost of the bonds will be paid by the accepted bidder. Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner and their respective Employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation, or recommendation of any bid. The Charter Township of Clinton reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to award the agreement to other than the low proposal, to negotiate the terms and conditions of all and any part of the bids, to waive irregularities and/or formalities, and in general to make award in the manner as determined to be in the Township’s best interest and its sole discretion. The project shall commence immediately following a notice of award per these contract documents. This project shall be substantially completed within one hundred and twenty (120) days of said time.
