Bidding Documents, will be available for downloading from the Bidnet (formerly MITN) site by 5:00 pm Monday, January 24, 2022, or earlier. All bidding documents are the property of the Architect. Access to the site for site for evaluation will be during normal hours of operation at the Township Civic Center property. Request for presence of DPW or AEW personnel will require an appointment.
The project consists of removal and replacement of existing exterior stairs and a ramp, removal and replacement of brick on existing site walls, construction of new site walls, refurbishment of existing guardrails and removal and replacement of exterior stair handrails at the entry to the Civic Center Building in Clinton Township, Michigan, owned by Clinton Township.
Work shall commence in Spring (April) of 2022 and shall be substantially complete by September 15, 2022.
Each sealed Proposal shall be marked “Bid for Charter Township of Clinton 2022 Civic Center Entry Enhancements” and shall have attached a Bid Bond as described in the Bidding Documents in an amount equal to 5% of the bid amount.An Insurance Acord meeting the requirements herein shall be submitted by all bidders. The accepted bidder shall be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond, and labor and material bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price, and maintenance and guarantee bond of 100% for two years of the final contract price. The cost of the bonds will be paid by the accepted bidder.
CLINTON TOWNSHIP CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITY CERTIFICATE
In order to provide Clinton Township with contractors and subcontractors who carry out the work in a timely and satisfactory manner, the contractor must meet all applicable qualification requirements noted in Township Ordinance No. 413, Part 1. All responsive bids must include a completed, executed and notarized “Contractor Responsibility Certificate”. The qualifications for the contractor will be reviewed on the basis of the proposed bidder’s past performance on work of a similar nature for Clinton Township and other owners. Provisions for this qualification procedure will be included in the bid documents.
Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner and their respective Employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation, or recommendation of any bid. The Charter Township of Clinton reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to award the agreement to other than the low proposal, to negotiate the terms and conditions of all and any part of the bids, to waive irregularities and/or formalities, and in general to make award in the manner as determined to be in the Township’s best interest and its sole discretion.
