The qualifications for the contractor will be reviewed on the basis of the proposed bidder’s past performance on work of a similar nature for Clinton Township and other owners. Provisions for this qualification procedure will be included in the bid documents.

Plans and specifications must be obtained through BidNet, formerly the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN), at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn, by 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. BID SECURITY
Bids must be submitted on the forms furnished by the Township Clerk or the Township Engineers in a sealed envelope marked:
BID FOR
WATER BOOSTER STATION & MILLAR PUMP STATION PAVEMENT REPLACEMENT, PRINCE DREWRY PARK PATHWAY & OTHER MISCELLANEOUS PAVING IMPROVEMENTS
A certified check, bank draft, or satisfactory bid bond, executed by the bidder and a surety company, payable to Clinton Township, in an amount at least equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount, shall be submitted with each bid.
BONDS AND INSURANCE
The accepted bidder shall be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond, and Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price, and Maintenance and Guarantee Bond of 100% for two years of the Final Contract Price. The cost of the bonds and insurance will be paid by the accepted bidder as an incidental cost to the project.
WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS
No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after receipt of bids.
AWARD OF CONTRACT
Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner and their respective Employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation, or recommendation of any bid.
The Charter Township of Clinton reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to award the agreement to other than the low proposal, to negotiate the terms and conditions of all and any part of the bids, to waive irregularities and/or formalities, and in general to make award in the manner as determined to be in the Township’s best interest and its sole discretion. The project shall commence immediately following a notice to proceed per these contract documents. These projects shall be substantially completed by July 31, 2023.
