The Charter Township of Clinton is requesting bids to furnish and install paint in the common areas of Heritage Estates Apartments. The aparments are located at 15430 18 Mile Rd. Clinton Township, MI 48038.
Four main building are involved in this Bid Request, A, B, C, and D.
Included in the painting are the main entrances and libraries, located on the first floor of each building.
All dimensions for this project must be field measured. AII bidders must visit site and sign in to measure areas involved.
All specifications and proposals will be reviewed by HERITAGE ESTATES and THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF CLINTON before the contract is awarded.
All proposals must be submitted and turned in by the deadline given or they will not be accepted.
Each contractor will be asked to sign the "Specifications and General Conditions” located in the last portion of this document when submitting the proposal.
Contractors will not enter areas of the site not relevant to the project.
At no time shall any hallway / common area be made impassable to a resident with a scooter, motorized chair, or wheelchair.
Contractor will provide barriers / caution tape where needed to ensure safety of the residents.
Contractor will perform daily clean up in each hallway before departure. This includes vacuuming. General cleaning is required during construction in order to maintain normal conditions (hallways, stairwells, elevators, and common areas).
Heritage Estates reserves the right to retain any material of value, either removed from or surplus items purchased for the building.
At no time will contractors be allowed to use the site dumpsters. Contactor will be responsible for debris removal from site and proper disposal thereof.
Contractor will keep driveways and entrances serving the site, clear and available to the owner and residents at all times. Available parking will be indicated. When a storage pod / or refuse container is needed, it will be placed only after Supervisor approval.
Heritage Estates Entry / Hallway / Library / Stairwell Painting Protect Specifications:
Smoking inside Heritage Estates buildings is strictly prohibited. Work will be performed between 8 am and 5 pm, M-F.
Any attempts to shortcut a full, complete paint job, without prior agreement, will result in non- payment for services.
Wall Preparation:
Wall prep will include; filling of gouges, chips, dents, missing mud at corner bead, picture holes and any corner tape repairs, any needed seam repairs, nail pops, or any other blemishes.
All wood handrails and cove-base will be taped off to eliminate spatters / drips. All flooring will be covered to eliminate spatters / drips.
All metal stairwell handrails and treads will be covered to eliminate spatters / drips. All door trim will be caulked to the walls prior to painting.
AII flaking/ peeling trim paint will be scraped and or sanded to ensure a good bond with the fresh coat.
Wall I Ceiling Painting:
Contractor to supply paint, labor, all wall prep products / supplies and tools to paint walls. Wall and ceiling paint will be Sherwin-Williams ProMar 200 Egg Shel - White.
Only the third (3rd) floor of each building has a paintable ceiling, the first two are acoustic tile, included in the painting is the main entrance and library on the first floor of each building.
Door trim and frame paint will be Sherwin-Williams ProMar 200 semi-gloss — White.
NO door slabs are included in this paint project.
