Summary of Specifications:
Selected contractor shall submit detailed shop drawings for all equipment meeting the criteria specified herein. Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all required permits for construction and coordinating all activities with the Township and DTE Energy throughout the duration of the project. Bidders must be a licensed electrical contractor and demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years’ experience supplying and installing related equipment.. In order to submit a qualified bid, a mandatory site visit is required. This site visit will need to be coordinated with the Clinton Township Water & Sewer Department. Submitted bids shall include all costs associated with a complete and operational installation. The Contractor shall furnish all materials and provide all labor and equipment necessary and incidental to complete the Work as set forth in this invitation in accordance with the Charter Township of Clinton standards. These principal items include, but are not limited to: 1. Replacement of Existing Control Panel for the Romeo Plank Pump Station. 2. All related electrical services and appurtenances as outlined in the Contract Documents. 60-Watt weather-proof light assembly with a photovoltaic sensor shall be installed on top of panel with an override shut-off switch in the panel. 3. Control Panel components shall be compatible with Clinton Township SCADA telemetry. 4. Installation of security fencing around Romeo Plank Pump Station. Specifications will be available on the internet through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN - www.govbids.com) or can be viewed or obtained at the office of ARC, 1009 West Maple Road, Clawson, MI 48017 after 3:00 PM on Monday, November 3rd, 2014. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided by the Owner and shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, payable to the Charter Township of Clinton for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid price. An Insurance Acord meeting the requirements in the bid documents shall be submitted by all bidders. The accepted bidder shall be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond, and labor and material bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price and maintenance and guarantee bond of 100% for two years of the final contract price the cost of the bonds will be paid by the accepted bidder. Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner and their respective Employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation, or recommendation of any bid. The Charter Township of Clinton reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to award the agreement to other than the low proposal, to negotiate the terms and conditions of all and any part of the bids, to waive irregularities and/or formalities, and in general to make award in the manner as determined to be in the Township’s best interest and its sole discretion. The project shall commence immediately following a notice of award per these contract documents. This project shall be substantially completed within one hundred and eighty (180) days of said time.
