Summary of Specifications:
Sealed Proposal Packages will be accepted by the Charter Township of Independence Clerk, no later than 3:30 PM on Monday, September 23, 2013, at 6483 Waldon Center Drive, Clarkston, Michigan 48346, opened and read publicly. Work consists of Masonry Re-Pointing and Re-Roofing. Drawings and Specifications will be available September 5, 2013. Documents for a Stipulated Sum contract may be obtained from the Parks and Recreation Department Independence Township, without fee. 1. Documents in digital form may also be ordered by email: jackie@h2aarchitects.net. A Pre-Proposal Conference will be conducted for Prime Bidders and other interested parties on Thursday, September 12, 2013, beginning at 3:00 PM. Bidders shall assemble at the Brady Lodge Main Entrance. Bid security, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total proposal, must accompany each bid in the form of a Bid Bond or Certified Check for each Bid Package. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required of the successful bidder. Proposals shall also be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the proposer or any employee of the proposer and any member of the Board, Council, Commission, Staff, or Supervisor of the Township. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to accept and/or reject any or all proposals.
