Oakland Township Parks and Recreation is seeking bids from experienced and qualified contractors to perform prescribed burns in Oakland Township parks. Bids will be received at the Oakland Township offices at 4393 Collins Rd, Rochester, MI 48306 until Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 2:30 P.M., Local Time. The Oakland Township Parks & Recreation Commission is currently accepting sealed bids for the 2023 Prescribed Burns for the following properties: Gallagher Creek Park (22.7 ac), Paint Creek Heritage Area – Fen (5.4 ac), Stony Creek Ravine Nature Park (27.6 ac), and Paint Creek Trail south units (7.8 ac) for a total of up to 63.5 acres. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to obtain any permits and contact the proper authorities before burning (e.g. fire department, sheriff’s department, Oakland County Dispatch). Oakland Township Parks and Recreation will notify neighbors of upcoming burns.
The submission of a Bid by a contractor shall be considered evidence that the contractor is satisfied with respect to the conditions to be encountered and the character, quantity and quality of the work to be performed.

Copies of bid documents obtained from any other source are not considered official copies. Only those vendors who obtain bid documents from the sources listed above are guaranteed access to receive addendum information, if such information is issued.
