Summary of Specifications:
Oakland Township Parks and Recreation is seeking proposals from experienced and qualified contractors to perform prescribed burns in Oakland Township parks in spring 2016. Proposals will be received at the Oakland Township offices at 4393 Collins Rd, Rochester, MI 48306 until Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at 3:00 P.M., Local Time. The Oakland Township Parks & Recreation Commission is currently accepting bids for the 2016 Prescribed Burns for the following properties: Gallagher Creek Park (23 acres), Lost Lake Nature Park (18 acres), Nicholson Prairie/Stoll (6.4 acres), Paint Creek Heritage Area – Fen (5.6 acres), Paint Creek Heritage Area – Wet Prairie (7.1 acres), and Paint Creek Trail right-of-way (1.8 acres), for a total of 61.9 acres. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to contact the proper authorities before burning (e.g. fire department and sheriff’s department). Oakland Township Parks and Recreation will notify neighbors of upcoming burns. The submission of a proposal by a contractor shall be considered evidence that the contractor is satisfied with respect to the conditions to be encountered and the character, quantity and quality of the work to be performed. Oakland Township Parks and Recreation officially distributes bid documents from the Oakland Township office, 4393 Collins Rd, Rochester, MI 48306 or through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN, www.mitn.info). Copies of bid documents obtained from any other source are not considered official copies. Only those vendors who obtain bid documents from either the Oakland Township office or the MITN System are guaranteed access to receive addendum information, if such information is issued. OAKLAND TOWNSHIP PARKS AND RECREATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL PROPOSALS, AND TO WAIVE IRREGULARITIES IN PROPOSALS.
