The Charter Township of Oakland Parks and Recreation Commission (PRC) is seeking itemized bids from experienced and qualified contractors to conduct non-native invasive shrub removal to fulfill the requirements of a Wildlife Habitat Improvement Program (WHIP) grant. Sealed bids will be received at the Oakland Township offices at 4393 Collins Rd, Rochester, MI 48306 until October 3, 2017, at 3:00 P.M., Local Time.
The submission of a sealed bid by a contractor shall be considered evidence that the contractor is satisfied with respect to the conditions to be encountered and the character, quantity and quality of the work to be performed.
Oakland Township Parks and Recreation officially distributes bid documents from the Oakland Township office, 4393 Collins Rd, Rochester, MI 48306 or through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN, www.mitn.info). Copies of bid documents obtained from any other source are not considered official copies. Only those vendors who obtain bid documents from either the Oakland Township office or the MITN System are guaranteed access to receive addendum information, if such information is issued.
OAKLAND TOWNSHIP PARKS AND RECREATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL PROPOSALS.

Background
The Charter Township of Oakland Parks and Recreation Commission (OTPR) is seeking an itemized bid to conduct non-native invasive shrub removal to fulfill the requirements of a Wildlife Habitat Improvement Program (WHIP) grant. OTPR has $4500 in grant funds to spend on two locations (Fields 17 and 19), in accordance with grant requirements. Field 17 covers 5 acres, and Field 19 covers 5 acres. Bidders are expected to indicate in their bid how much of the acreage (or, square footage) they will cover for up to $4500 in payment. This may be less than or up to the full extent of the delineated areas. Work must be contiguous and follow project specifications.
