Description

The Charter Township of Orion (population of approximately 37,945 residents) located in northern Oakland County in southeast Michigan is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking experienced economic development consultants to partner with the Township to provide an approach to development and implementation of economic development opportunities throughout the community, with an emphasis on the Township’s Corridor Improvement Authority (CIA), in addition to supporting the Township’s objective of becoming certified under the States’ Redevelopment Ready Community Program (RRC Details pertaining to the Township and its organization are available on the Township’s website, www.oriontownship.org.

The consultant will receive direction from the Township Supervisor and/or his designee(s) relative to the strategies and projects of interest. The consultant will be expected to interact with the staff of various Township departments, depending upon the nature of the particular issue. The consultant will be expected to provide reports and/or make periodic presentations to the Orion Township Board of Trustees or its boards and commissions.
