RFP-Cell Tower Lease - Leasing of Township Properties for Wireless Communication Purposes

Summary of Specifications:
The Charter Township of Redford, Michigan is seeking proposals from qualified firms for the leasing of Township properties for Wireless Telecommunication Purposes. The Charter Township of Redford, Michigan currently leases portions of three Township owned properties. The current lessees have installed a cell tower and ground equipment on the property. The current tenant may (but is not required to) remove the telecommunications facility at the expiration or termination of the current leases. The Township is interested in securing an Agreement for the continued use of any or all of the properties for telecommunication purposes following the expiration or earlier termination of the current leases. The Township would like to enter into an Agreement with the successful proposer within thirty (30) days from the date of the award. The Agreement will contain terms governing the lessee's use of the premises including the payment on consideration. The consideration should include a certain payment to be made to the Township upon entering into the Agreement, either as a lump sum payment or installment payments over a period of a few years. The township anticipates a minimum of $125,000.00 for such initial payment. In addition, the Township expects to receive rental payments from the lessee as well as additional rental payments for any co-locators or other parties that may make use of the premises.
