The Project consists of removing approximately 5 square yards of pavement and installing a 3/4" deep steel channel for portable truck weigh station, two 24' wide locking gates, 230 feet of guardrail removal and 100 feet of new guardrail, clearing and joint cleaning along the existing roadway, and associated signage. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract on a lump sum and unit price basis.
Distribution of the Bid Documents through any means of delivery should be coordinated by the Bidder at their own cost. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted from the above organization(s) will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available. Sealed Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided in the Bid Documents. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, payable to the Charter Township of Washington. Each Bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner, Engineer, and their respective Employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation, or recommendation of any Bid. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all base or alternative Bid items of work, in whole or in part, and to waive any informalities, therein when such waiver is in the interest of the Owner, and to award the Contract to other than the low Bidder.
