The Charter Township of Chesterfield’s Facilities & Operations Department is soliciting qualified bids for
pedestrian bridge improvements at 47275 Sugarbush Road, Chesterfield Township MI 48047, between
Municipal Office and Historical Village, to include: removal and replacement of deck boards, removal and
replacement of upper hand rail cap, power wash and stain hand rails and lower main beams. Also
seeking alternate pricing for 1.) removal and replacement of hand rails, lowering spindles and replacing
cap and 2. Remove existing handrails, spindles and posts replace with a metal railing system.

Before submitting a bid, each bidder shall have the opportunity to thoroughly examine the properties
and fully understand the conditions that may affect the work proposed. Voluntary walk through will
occur on Friday November 8, 2024 at 10:00am on site at Chesterfield Township Municipal Office, 47275
Sugarbush Road, Chesterfield Township, MI 48047. Failure to inspect the sites in no way relieves the
successful contractor from the necessity of furnishing materials or performing any labor necessary for
the satisfactory completion of the work.
