Summary of Specifications:
The City of Ann Arbor is proposing to sell 96 gallon universal compost (yard waste) carts to residents starting April 1, 2008. The City will charge residents $20 to $25 less than the carts cost. The cart vendor will provide delivery to individual households, and will bill the City the full cost of the delivered carts. The proposed plan is that orders will be taken through May 23, 2008, with deliveries to start on June 9, 2008.

The City estimates that 8,000 to 15,000 residents will purchase carts through this offer, out of a total of 27,000 homes that currently receive compost collection. Carts will be purchased on full truckload quantities.
