20-02 - Harvesting of Aquatic Vegetation in Geddes Pond

The purpose of the Request for Proposal (RFP) is to select a company to provide aquatic plant harvesting using environmentally sound methods to control excessive aquatic plant growth and nuisance vegetation in river impoundments within City parkland. The City requires harvesting of up to 7 acres of aquatic plants in Geddes Pond with three cuttings in the summer of 2020. The City is seeking these services for a period of ten years. Select areas within the river impoundment should be cleared
of aquatic plants using environmentally sensitive practices, for aesthetics and to allow for recreation boating such as canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating and small motorboats.
